20 Years of De La Soul

Fundstück des Tages! De La Soul werden 20 Jahre alt, was ich jetzt nicht unbedingt auf dem Schirm hatte. Aber schön. Ich hab mich ja schon mit einem Album als großer De La Soul-Fan geoutet, das Konzert in Heidelberg hab ich allerdings leider verpasst.

Zur Feier gibt es jetzt ein Projekt, wo 20 der besten HipHop-Produzenten bzw. -Acts je einen De La Soul-Track gecovert haben, und das Ganze gibt es auch noch als kostenlosen Download. Im Prinzip wie das Fanta 4-Tribute-Album, nur in gut 😉

Ich hör es gerade durch und bin ziemlich begeistert – am Start sind u.a. Camp Lo, Talib Kweli und Tanya Morgan, die Tracks sind sowohl Smasher wie „Me, Myself and I“, „Stakes Is High“ oder „Saturdays“ als auch unbekanntere Albumtracks.
